Luckily, we have the ability to move most event activities inside The Link, although we can't accommodate them all. The parade may be delayed or canceled based on current conditions. Updated information will be posted on our website and social media sites.
Parade entry is free and open to the public. We do ask that all entries register in advance so we can be sure to accommodate everyone. You may register at The Link customer service desk or online.
Please check-in with staff at the intersection of Rufe Snow Dr/Rena Dr near 6700 Rena Dr. We will give you a number to put on your parade entry and direct you to the parade line.
The parade starts at 9 am and will last approximately 30 minutes depending on the amount of parade entries.
The parade will start on Baker Blvd/Rufe Snow Dr. Recommended viewing areas are as follows:
Limited parking is available on-site at The Link and City Hall. Overflow parking is available at Richland Hills Baptist Church at 6852 Baker Blvd and Alliene Mullendore Elementary (temporary site), 3250 Scruggs Park Dr. Shuttle will be provided from the elementary school.
The following roads will be closed temporarily for the event:
7:45 am to 10:15 am
8:30 am to 10:15 am
8:30 am to 12:15 pm (approximately)
8:45 am to 10:15 am
The patriotic ceremony is in The Link Pavilion following the parade at approximately 10 am. It incudes the presentation of colors, singing of the National Anthem and the official kick-off of the event.
All activities are free.
Yes. Hot dogs, popcorn, ice pops and water will be available for free on a first come, first served basis.
Please deliver them to The Link customer service desk or The Link Booth at the event.
Because space and time is limited, Cops & Bobbers is for children 12 and under. Be sure to register for a time slot to go fishing! That way instead of standing in line to wait to fish, you can go do other activities and then come back at your allocated time to fish! Adults are welcome to accommodate and assist their young anglers.
You can, but we don't recommend it. Our events can be crowded at times and there will be loud noises including the band, vehicles and other activities. If you do decide to bring Fido, please make sure he is on a leash and you bring water to keep him hydrated.
The City partners with the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce and other area cities to host a fireworks show, Family 4th Celebration. This year's Family 4th Celebration is on Monday, July 3, from 5 to 10 pm and will include bounce houses, food trucks, Texas All-Star Jazz Orchestra , drone show and fireworks. Free parking is available at Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum (6108 Broadway Avenue) and the Birdville ISD Plaza (6351 Boulevard 26).
